Wrinkle Creams and a Fresh Outlook Can Make You Look Younger

by Jen Hopkins

Wrinkles are a sign that you are getting older. This occurs because as one grows older, collagen production naturally slows down which causes the skin to lose its elasticity. When this happens, constant folding on the skin will not return to normal thus forming dreaded wrinkles on the face.

By knowing how wrinkles form, we can now reverse its effects so that we can reduce or even eliminate the number of wrinkles forming on the face. Wrinkle creams can do this by providing collagen for the skin or stimulating its production. Aside from this, they further help eliminate wrinkles by stimulating cell regeneration, supplying antioxidants and moisturizing the skin to make it more resistant to damage and eliminate waste build up that can lead to faster skin aging.

Some of the ingredients that can be found on wrinkle creams are copper peptides and kinetin which stimulate the production of collagen. These also double up as antioxidants which can eliminate free radical waste on the skin. Hydroxy acids are skin exfoliants which eliminate older skin cells to make way for newer ones. Matrixyl 3000 is responsible for stimulating cells to regenerate so that the exfoliated cells can be replaced.

By doing all of these things, wrinkle creams can reverse the effects of aging cells, decreased collagen production and toxic effects of wastes on the body. Aside from these, most creams also have protective factors such as sunscreen effects that help prevent skin from being further damaged by external factors.

Applying wrinkle creams is easy as it will take only a few minutes of your day. Ideally, it should be used twice a day, once in the morning and another application at night. Most of these creams can be used under makeup so it can be used even if you have to use makeup on special occasions.

Unfortunately, each cream has a special formulation that will not work for all skin types. Compatibility is also an issue if these creams are to work. If the cream that you are using is not compatible with your skin, it won't have much of an effect on your face. You will need to find the right formulation that will be most effective for your skin type.

One precaution that you should take when using wrinkle creams is that it contains synthetic chemicals which can have serious side effects in the future. This is why some people resort to using organic creams. These have a lot less synthetic chemicals in them so there is a lesser risk that serious side effects will take place.

Using wrinkle creams is not the only way of having younger looking skin. Living a healthy lifestyle by eating the right kinds of food, exercising regularly and avoiding bad habits such as smoking will slow down the effects of aging thus giving you younger looking and glowing skin.
